How to create a free blogger blog | Course 1

So,you made your mind to start your own blog using blogger.That's really good.Creating blogs on blogger are really very easy and free too ! But if create your free blogger blog,it comes with a Sub-Domain .blogspot; for example if you create a blog named xyz,then its domain will be something like xyz.blogspot.com

Don't worry about that,you may upgrade to more custom domains like (.com ,.net ,.org ,.pk) anytime in the future,after getting a good blogging experience.
Now,in this post named "How to create a free blogger blog | Course 1",I will guide you to create your own blogger blog.If you follow my steps you can create a cool blog too.

Step 1 :

Sign in to your blogger account using your current Google Account details.If you don't have an account,you can easily create one by filling the required fields.Once you log in,a page will appear on your screen as shown below.

Since you are new to blogger,you won't be seeing any blogs.To create your own blog,click the New Blog button in the left side of the page as shown below.

Step 2 :

On clicking "New Blog" displays a pop up window as shown below.Enter the title on your blog (which you want to create) in the space given.Be careful in selecting a title for your blog,your Blog Title represents the name of your brand and therefore it should carry the following characteristics :

• It should be short and simple.

• Use a keyword.

• Only use letters,don't use commas or other special characters.

• It should be easy to remember.

Keywords are some special,major words that appears frequently on your blog's content.They are also the words that are searched by the users on the search engines.For example,if you want to search about "how to start a blog" ,then you would type that in the search bar right,now look for the most targeted words in the line,in this case it's,"blog" or "start blog"; so consider them as keywords.My blog is mainly about blogging tips and tricks,that's why I choose "Blogging Love".But however,be careful with your selection !

Forecast the future and make an initial guess about what topics you were covering.Let me tell you the mistake that I did in choosing my title for my blog.I actually thought that I will only cover blogging tips and tricks,but as you can see on my blog that I have also discussed about SEO,Social Media,Making Money Online,Widgets,Internet Tips and some other stuff.I did the mistake of not forecasting the future and could not add keywords to my title like SEO,Widgets etc.Please take this as a lesson and forecast the topics you are covering and choose the most suitable keywords for your Blog's Title.

Step 3 :

OK,now you understood how to select the most suitable title to your blog,now the next thing is to select the most suitable address for your blog as shown in the picture above.The address is more or less your title and will reflects your brand's image.Using title in the address is customary and is preferred by almost all of the bloggers.So use the words (keywords or name) that you used in framing the title.

You may change the Title and even blog's address (URL/Domain) anytime later, but please be sure that whatever changes you make should be before publishing your blog.Once you published your blog,and visitors start finding you,then changing either the Title or Domain is not advisable and won't be useful.

Step 4 :

I hope you have understood some rules for selecting a good Title and Address for your blog,Right ? Now choose your selection and enter the same in the provided space and Google will tell you automatically that whether this address is available or not.If not,jumble the words and try till to find some appropriate.After jumbling,re-arrange the title accordingly.

Step 5 :

OK,finally you need to select a design (template) for your new blog.There are *34 default templates available in blogger.However,there are no restrictions and you are allowed to customize your own design.You are free to choose as style per requirements.For now,click anyone of your desired template and click "Create Blog".Remember,design process is continuous and you may not design at once.You may be required to change the design and layout as time goes.We will learn that soon.

Step 6 :

OK,now you should be seeing your blog's name displayed in the window as shown below.

Also check the tab "View blog" next to your blog name.Click that.This is how your blog looks.I choose the watermark template and since there is no single post yet,that's why the blog is looking empty.The "About Me" page appears by default.However,we may re-arrange it like we wished.
